At IBSD we are dedicated to making your time here as valuable as possible to your future and that is why we can offer assistance in setting up internships with companies and employers where you can gain practical experience that will look great on your CV and complement your theoretical knowledge. For international students whose first language is not English this can also be a great way of practicing business English skills in real life work situations.

Cv writing & Interview Preparation

Our student counselors are available to help you perfect your CV and offer advice on everything from job hunting to interview techniques. Whether you need advice on simply tweaking a CV or a complete overhaul they can assist you to make the most of the experience you have and present yourself in the best possible light. Our student counselors can also offer advice on the interview process here in Ireland and the etiquette surrounding the whole process whether you are lining up your dream job for after graduation or part time employment  in order to help pay the bills during  term time.

Career Counseling

Workshops on useful topics and areas of interest to students are run during the academic year.  Guest speakers also give talks on their experience of working within specific industries and roles.

Students wishing to meet with a student counselor for career guidance and advice should book an appointment in advance through the office.

 Rent a Laptop Scheme

A laptop rental scheme is available for students who require a laptop for short term use and can be arranged via the administration staff in our office.
